This beautiful sock pattern was inspired by the book Braiding Sweetgrass...mind, body and spirit are intertwined in the wiingashk braid...inspiring a pattern with a lace "braid" on the instep and sides of a spring-green sock knitted from the cuff down. Enjoy this meditative, nature-inspired knit!🌿🌿

🌿🌿Finished Size: After blocking, about 7.25” (18.4 cm) in foot circumference, 9” (22.8 cm) in length, from tip of toe to back of heel. Sock best fits foot of about 8” (20.3 cm) in circumference and 9.75” (24.8 cm) in length from toe to back of heel.

Yarn: Fingering or Sock Yarn.

The pattern is written for use with four double-pointed needles; however, two circular needles or Magic Loop can also be used. Socks are knitted from the cuff down and feature stockinette, two simple lace patterns, round heel and wedge toe. The Kitchener stitch is used to seam the toe.

The skill level is suited to an intermediate level knitter familiar with basic sock construction.

NOTE: the yarn used for the pictures is Kismet Fiber Works Simple Sock which was recently discontinued.
