Turku Beanie and White Stag Mitts

Looking for the perfect knitted winter hat? Here it is... the Turku Beanie. Included is a FREE second pattern for The White Stag Mitts!

Both patterns are tech-edited and test-knit. See below for descriptions of both patterns.

The Turku Beanie

SIZES:
Child 10 years to Adult Female Small - Unstretched circumference 18" (46 cm), Height 8.5" (22 cm). Fits heads 20" (51 cm)

Adult Female Medium/ Large - Unstretched circumference 20.5" (52 cm), Height 9" (23 cm). Fits heads 21" (53 cm) - 23" (58 cm)

Pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. Main Color: Cascade 220 Superwash Merino, 104 Winter Sky; Contrasting Colors Cascade 220 8505 White and 2404 Atlantic.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm) 16" circular needles and Size 7 (4.5 mm) 16" circular needles. Or, use dpns at least 8" (20 c) in length. For crown decreases, use Size 7 (4.5 mm) dpns or Magic Loop.

The White Stag Mitts

SIZES:
Adult Female, Small - Unstretched circumference 6.5" (16.5 cm), Unstretched length 9" (23 cm)

Adult Female, Medium/ Large - Unstretched circumference 8" (20 cm), Unstretched length 10.25" (26 cm)

Pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. I used Cascade Yarns Cascade 220, 8505 White.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm) and Size 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles or, for Magic Loop method, use a 32” (80 cm) circular needle in both sizes.
